TwoWork doesn't have a formal "approve hours" button. The philosophy is trust and responsibility - the employee is responsible for registering their time correctly, and as a manager you follow along rather than approving each individual entry.
This is intentional. The EU Working Time Directive emphasises that employees should have control over their own time registration, and TwoWork follows that principle. It also means that as a manager you're not left holding responsibility for having changed or approved hours if a dispute arises later. Read more in How do I edit my employees' hours?.
Even without an approval flow, you have good visibility into what's being registered:
Once payroll is done and you're satisfied that the registrations for the period are correct, you can lock the hours as part of the export. It's not an approval - it's a lock. Employees can no longer change or delete the exported entries.
They can still add new entries within the period, and these will be marked as "added after lock" in a later export, so you can easily see if anything came in after the payroll run.
⚠️ Note: a lock is permanent. You cannot reopen the period as a manager.
